Radial symmetry of standing waves for nonlinear fractional Laplacian Hardy-Schrödinger systems
Applied Mathematics Letters, 2020In this paper, by applying the direct method of moving planes, the authors study the radial symmetry of standing waves for nonlinear fractional Laplacian Schrodinger systems with Hardy potential. Firstly, under the condition of infinite decay, the radial

Radial symmetry of solution for fractional p−Laplacian system
, 2020In this paper, we investigate the method of moving planes for fractional p -Laplacian system. We firstly discuss the key ingredients for the method of moving planes such as maximum principle for anti-symmetric functions, decay at infinity and boundary ...

Radial symmetry and partially overdetermined problems in a convex cone
Mathematische Nachrichten, 2020We obtain the radial symmetry of the solution to a partially overdetermined boundary value problem in a convex cone in space forms by using the maximum principle for a suitable subharmonic function P and integral identities.

Microellipsometer with radial symmetry
Applied Optics, 2002We report on a novel microellipsometer that uses a spatially filtered high-numerical-aperture (NA) lens for large-angle ellipsometric illumination and high spatial resolution. A radially symmetric ellipsometric signal is achieved with two half-wave plates to produce a pure polarization rotation and a birefringent cube as a radial analyzer.

Perceptual organization of radial symmetries
Proceedings of the 2004 IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2004. CVPR 2004., 2004Radial symmetry is an important perceptual cue for the feature-based representation, fixation, and description of large-scale data sets. A new approach based on iterative voting along the gradient direction is introduced for inferring the center of mass for objects demonstrating radial symmetries that are not limited to convex geometries.

Intraspecific variation of radial symmetry number of a 535 million-year-old jellyfish
, 2020Although modern jellyfishes are stably tetramerous, intraspecific variation of radial symmetry number is not uncommon and spans from unimery to octamery.

Spatial correlation functions of paracrystals with radial symmetry
Physical Review E, 2020We develop a phenomenological model to describe the structure of radially symmetric paracrystals whose long-range order are destroyed by propagation of particle fluctuations. General expressions are derived for the spatial correlation functions in one-, two-, and three-dimensional spaces.

The Cambrian Fortunian fossil embryos exhibit embryonic development of ancient animals and hence have important bearings on evolutionary developmental biology. They have radial symmetry, and may be early representatives of cnidarians.
