Clinical Practice Guideline for Evaluation and Management of Peripheral Nervous System Manifestations in Sjögren's Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies.

Quantitative evaluation of rock brittleness and fracability based on elastic-wave velocity variation around borehole

open access: yesPetroleum Exploration and Development, 2016
Brittleness and fracability are two important rock properties in hydraulic fracturing of unconventional reservoirs. Based on the variation of compressional and shear velocity around borehole using acoustic measurement, an effective technique is developed

Hypoplastic and Accessory Radial Arteries: A Case Report [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, 2018
Arterial variations in the upper extremity occur in a high prevalence. The radial artery is a terminal branch of the brachial artery in the cubital fossa. This artery is used in some treatment interventions and it’s variation is important for clinicians.

Triangular Index Ratio as An Alternative Method to the Alpha Angle for Defining the Presence of Cam Morphology: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Cam morphology, a significant risk factor for hip osteoarthritis, is commonly quantified by the alpha angle (AA). This study aims to explore the potential of the triangular index ratio (TIR) to quantify cam morphology on anteroposterior radiographs by assessing the association between TIR‐defined cam morphology and the development of ...

Qualitative and Quantitative Anatomical Characteristics and Radial Variation of Major Cell Components in Paulownia tomentosa Wood Grown in Korea

open access: yesBioResources
Qualitative and quantitative anatomical characteristics and radial variations of the major cell components in Paulownia tomentosa wood were examined using optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction to aid in wood identification and as quality indices.

Four patients with a clinically significant radial artery anomaly

open access: yesJournal of Vascular Surgery Cases and Innovative Techniques, 2019
The superficial radial artery is an anatomic variant in which the radial artery passes superficial to the tendons of the anatomic snuffbox. Cadaver studies have shown its incidence to be 0.5% to 1%.

A Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
Block Diagram of the Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller. ABSTRACT This article introduces a discrete‐time robust adaptive one‐sample‐ahead preview super‐twisting sliding mode controller. A stability analysis of the controller by Lyapunov criteria is developed to demonstrate its robustness in handling both ...

Superficial radial artery- a rare variation and its clinical significance

open access: yesNational Journal of Clinical Anatomy, 2014
During routine dissection of upper limb, a variation in the origin of radial artery was observed in a female cadaver of about 60 years. The radial artery is usually a smaller terminal branch of the brachial artery in the forearm. On the right side of the

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.
