A New Look at Jupiter: Results at the Now Frontier [PDF]
Pioneer 10's encounter with Jupiter is discussed along with the interplanetary space beyond the orbit of Mars. Other topics discussed include the size of Jupiter, the Galilean satellites, the magnetic field of Jupiter, radiation belts, Jupiter's weather ...

We aimed to conduct phylogenetic analyses of Encephalartos, a cycad genus endemic to Africa, using 3545 single‐copy nuclear genes extracted from transcriptome data, covering 64/65 of the recognized species, along with inference of divergence times using two secondary calibration points.

Electrons in Earth's outer radiation belt are highly dynamic, with fluxes changing by up to orders of magnitude. The penetration of electrons from the outer belt to the inner belt is one such change observed during geomagnetic storms and was previously ...

Progress of Radiation Belt Exploration by a Constellation of Small Satellites TGCSS/SGRB, COSPAR
A COnstellation of Radiation BElt Survey (CORBES) program is proposed by the Sub-Group on Radiation Belt (SGRB) of TGCSS, COSPAR. To address the open qustions about the dynamics of the Earth’s radiation belt, CORBES mission would use a constellation of ...

Abstract We report new results from a study of shock‐related features in the L6 ordinary chondrites Northwest Africa (NWA) 4672 and NWA 12841. Our observations confirm the occurrence of eight high‐pressure (HP) minerals in each meteorite, namely, ringwoodite, majorite, akimotoite, wadsleyite, albitic jadeite, lingunite, tuite, and xieite.

Advanced dosimetry systems for the space transport and space station [PDF]
Advanced dosimetry system concepts are described that will provide automated and instantaneous measurement of dose and particle spectra. Systems are proposed for measuring dose rate from cosmic radiation background to greater than 3600 rads/hr.

Vertical profiling of shock attenuation at the Rochechouart impact structure, France
Abstract Rochechouart, south‐west France, is a complex impact structure. Here, we present the first report of shock barometry of quartz from what are likely parautochthonous basement units at depth, based on samples from the 2017 C.I.R.I.R drilling campaign. The crystallographic orientations of 725 sets of PDFs in 512 quartz grains in samples from four
