Numerical Modeling of The Electromagnetic Field Of Pine Plank In Radio Frequency Heating [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 2012
This paper presents a study on the process of heating in radio frequency a pine plank in a „staggered-through field” applicator. The purpose of this study is to develop constructive solutions by controlling the value of the voltage applied, so that the ...

Direct measurement of axial momentum imparted by an electrothermal radiofrequency plasma micro-thruster

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2016
Gas flow heating using radio frequency plasmas offers the possibility of depositing power in the centre of the flow rather than on the outside, as is the case with electro-thermal systems where thermal wall losses lower efficiency.

Research Progress on Radio Frequency Heating Technology in Oilseed Drying and Storage

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
Oilseeds serve as a vital source of fats, proteins, and natural active ingredients, and effective drying and storage are critical for their secure supply.

Effect of freezing rate and comminution on dielectric properties of pork

open access: yesCzech Journal of Food Sciences, 2013
The impact of comminution and the freezing rate on the dielectric properties (ε' and ε'') of meats measured at frequencies used for cooking, i.e. radio frequency, RF (27.12 MHz), and microwave, MW (915 and 2450 MHz), were evaluated. The temperature rises

Features of artificial ionosphere turbulence induced by the O- and X-mode HF heating near the F2-layer critical frequency

open access: yesSolar-Terrestrial Physics, 2023
We present experimental results from the studies of large-scale inhomogeneities along the external magnetic field with increased electron density, electron temperature, and excitation of elongated plasma waves (Langmuir and ion-acoustic), induced by the ...

Numerical simulation of oblique ionospheric heating by powerful radio waves [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2018
In this paper, we investigate the ionospheric heating by oblique incidence of powerful high-frequency (HF) radio waves using three-dimensional numerical simulations.

HEATING CHARACTERISTICS OF SOFTWOODS IN A HIGH FREQUENCY FIELD [PDF]

open access: yesPro Ligno, 2012
The research aimed to establish whetherdielectric heating at radio frequencies might be afeasible option for phytosanitation of green softwoodboards. Results are presented for two softwoodspecies, namely, lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta) andwestern red ...

Dusty space plasma diagnosis using temporal behavior of polar mesospheric summer echoes during active modification [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2011
The objective of this paper is to study the effect of different plasma and dust parameters on Polar Mesospheric Summer Echoes (PMSE) temporal behavior after turn-on and turn-off of radio wave heating and to use these responses to diagnose the ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
