Sub‐THz Generation Device Based on Optical Difference Frequency Generation Using MgO:LiTaO3${\rm LiTaO}_3$ Rectangular Waveguide

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 61, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This letter proposes a sub‐THz generation device based on optical difference‐frequency generation in a periodically poled MgO:LiTaO3 rectangular waveguide. Experimental demonstration verified signal generation at ~100 GHz from an intensity‐modulated optical input using a frequency‐quadrupled two‐tone source.

Experimental demonstration of digital predistortion for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing-radio over fibre links near laser resonance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Radio over fibre (RoF), an enabling technology for distribution of wireless broadband service signals through analogue optical links, suffers from non-linear distortion. Digital predistortion has been demonstrated as an effective approach to overcome the

Performance Optimization of SNR and SFDR in RoF Link for the Next Generation Networks

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, Volume 2025, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Figure 1 showing the fundamental concept of RoF link designing over a dispersive medium. The complete RoF link is divided into three different sections. These sections are nominated as, central station (CS), optical distribution networks (ODN) and base station (BS). CS to BS conversation is called downlink transmission, while from BS to CS it is called

Comparison between analog radio-over-fiber and sigma delta modulated radio-over-fiber [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
With the continuously increasing demand of cost effective, broadband wireless access, radio-over-fiber (RoF) starts to gain more and more momentum. Various techniques already exist, using analog (ARoF) or digitized (DRoF) radio signals over fiber; each ...

Frequency Comb Effect on Chaos in Semiconductor Lasers, a Bifurcation Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Optics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
This study investigates the effects of optical frequency comb injection on the chaotic dynamics of semiconductor lasers through a bifurcation analysis. By examining the behavior of semiconductor lasers under different comb parameters (i.e., the number of signals, comb spacing), the research explores how these factors influence the system’s transition ...
