The Evolution of Radio Loud Active Galactic Nuclei as a Function of Black Hole Spin
Recent work on the engines of active galactic nuclei jets suggests their power depends strongly and perhaps counter-intuitively on black hole spin. We explore the consequences of this on the radio-loud population of active galactic nuclei and find that ...

New blazars from the cross-match of recent multi-frequency catalogs [PDF]
Blazars are radio-loud active galactic nuclei well known for their non thermal emission spanning a wide range of frequencies. The Roma-BZCAT is, to date, the most comprehensive list of these sources.

Interior Models of Mercury and Conditions for Iron Snow Formation in a Fe‐S‐Si Core
Abstract Mercury's unique interior structure and magnetic field generation remain to be fully understood. We construct models to further constrain Mercury's interior and test the hypothesis that iron snow within the liquid core drives the dynamo.

Optical- and UV-continuum Morphologies of Compact Radio Source Hosts
We present the first systematic search for UV signatures from radio source-driven active galactic nuclei (AGN) feedback in Compact Steep Spectrum (CSS) radio galaxies. Owing to their characteristic sub-galactic jets (1–20 kpc projected linear sizes), CSS

Radio Spectroscopy of Active Galactic Nuclei
Radio spectroscopy offers a number of tools for studying a large variety of astrophysical phenomena, ranging from stars and their environment to interstellar and intergalactic medium, active galactic nuclei (AGN) and distant quasars. Main targets of extragalactic radio spectroscopy are atomic and molecular material in galaxies, HII regions, and maser ...

Optical Spectra of Radio-Loud and Radio-Quiet Active Galactic Nuclei [PDF]
Many radio galaxies have strong emission lines in their optical spectra. The fraction with such lines is much larger than in “normal” galaxies. Radio galaxies generally also have very bright nuclei; thus those with strong emission lines are similar in both respects to Seyfert galaxies.

All‐perovskite tandem solar cells are evaluated under low‐intensity and low‐temperature (LILT) conditions relevant to space environments. Distinct loss regimes emerge, where weaker entropic mixing causes halide segragation below ≈240 K going along with a strong current imbalance, while poor electron transport in C60 dominates.

The First Triple Radio Active Galactic Nucleus in an Ongoing Galaxy Merger
Galaxy mergers are predicted to be a critical stage of merger-driven SMBH growth and galaxy evolution. Systems exhibiting multiple active galactic nuclei (AGN) are an important observational tool for constraining the prevalence and properties of merging ...

The host galaxies of radio-loud active galactic nuclei: mass dependences, gas cooling and active galactic nuclei feedback [PDF]
The properties of the host galaxies of a well-defined sample of 2215 radio-loud active galactic nuclei (AGN) with redshifts 0.03 10 23 W Hz -1 is a strong function of stellar mass, rising from nearly zero below a stellar mass of 10 10 M○. to more than 30 per cent at stellar masses of 5 x 10 11 M○.. In contrast to the integrated [O III] luminosity

Emergent Freestanding Complex Oxide Membranes for Multifunctional Applications
This review surveys freestanding oxide membranes and covers fabrication and three pathways for studies and devices: strain‐free and strained membranes, and van der Waals‐integrated heterostructures. We show how coupled oxide responses map onto these routes and cross‐couple to expand behaviors.
