Current state of 137Cs contamination of cow milk in the northern regions of Ukraine

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2016
Analysis of the results of the selective monitoring of 137Cs in cow milk in settlements, where values of the milk contamination have not met requirements of the permissible levels since the Chernobyl accident, was performed. Monitoring network, which was

A Kolmogorov–Arnold Surrogate Model for Chemical Equilibria: Application to Solid Solutions

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Machine Learning and Computation, Volume 3, Issue 4, August 2026.
Abstract The computational cost of geochemical solvers is a challenging matter. For reactive transport simulations, where chemical calculations are performed up to billions of times, it is crucial to reduce the total computational time. Existing publications have explored various machine learning approaches to determine the most effective data‐driven ...

Ring‐Width Dendrochronology, Isotopic Dendrochronology and Radiocarbon Dating of Timbers From the Spire Scaffold of Salisbury Cathedral, Wiltshire, England

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 68, Issue 4, Page 761-772, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Ten timbers from the spire scaffold of Salisbury Cathedral were dated using a combination of ring‐width dendrochronology, stable oxygen isotopic dendrochronology and radiocarbon dating. Seven timbers were coeval and assigned a combined empirical felling date range of 1352–1378, which was further refined to 1351–1359 (OxCal 95.4%).

Assessment of the feed additive consisting of lasalocid A sodium (Avatec® 150G) for turkeys, pheasants, guinea fowl, quails and partridges except laying birds thereof for the renewal of its authorisation (Zoetis Belgium SA)

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Following a request from the European Commission, EFSA was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the safety and efficacy of lasalocid A sodium (Avatec® 150G) as a coccidiostat for turkeys, pheasants, guinea fowl, quails and partridges. The additive currently on the market complies with the existing conditions of authorisation.

Engineering Cu, Mn, and Co‐Modified Graphene/Ferrites on Gas Diffusion Layers Electrodes for Efficient Electrocatalytic Nitrogen Reduction to Ammonia

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 14, 17 July 2026.
Electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR) offers a sustainable alternative to ammonia synthesis under mild conditions. Herein, gas diffusion layer (GDL) electrodes modified with graphene‐supported spinel ferrites (MFe2O4, M = Mn, Co, Cu), synthesized using natural organic matter (NOM) as a green solvent, were developed to enhance nitrogen ...
