Targeting ROCK2 to Restore Epileptic Synaptic Networks via Mitophagy Activation: Insights from Translational Imaging of SV2A In Vivo

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2A PET imaging and transcriptomics, this study identifies Rho‐associated protein kinase 2 (ROCK2) as a critical regulator of synaptic network dysfunction in temporal lobe epilepsy. Pharmacological ROCK2 inhibition restores synaptic density and enhances mitophagy, thereby reducing seizures and neuronal damage.

Serine Grafted Silica Coated Nanoscale Zero‐Valent Iron with Enhanced Fenton‐Like Degradation of Mixed Organic Solvents of Tributyl Phosphate and n‐dodecane

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Serine grafted silica coated nanoscale zero‐valent iron is synthesized. Through the SiO2 coating and serine grafting, the aggregation and oxidation of nZVI are reduced, and the slow release of Fe2+ ensured the catalytic cycle. The adsorption capacity for TBP and n‐dodecane is higher, because of the synergistic effect of surface functional groups.

Cytological Classification Diagnosis for Thyroid Nodules via Multimodal Model Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces AI‐TFNA, an innovative artificial intelligence model designed to assist cytopathologists in classifying thyroid nodules based on The Bethesda System for Reporting Thyroid Cytopathology (TBSRTC). The model effectively differentiates between benign and malignant thyroid nodules, demonstrating significant potential as a screening ...

Enriched Oxygen Vacancy‐Mediated Efficient Charge Transfer in S‐Scheme ZnO‐VO@Zn0.5Cd0.5S Heterojunction for Rapid U(VI) Removal From Nuclear Wastewater

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An S‐scheme ZnO‐VO@Zn0.5Cd0.5S heterojunction with oxygen vacancies (VO) was developed for rapidly removing U(VI) from nuclear wastewater. The results show that the synergy between S‐scheme transfer and VO enhances the catalyst’s U(VI) removal kinetics. It achieves 99.10% removal in 10 minutes without any sacrificial agents.

On the Design of Effective Water‐Soluble Actinide‐Masking Ligands Through Ligand Structure Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ligand topology and non‐coordination atoms are proved to be important for the design of effective water‐soluble actinide masking agents. Abstract Water‐soluble actinide‐masking ligands are fundamentally important for achieving efficient lanthanide/actinide separation and for the development of water‐soluble f‐block complexes for bioimaging and ...
