Grades of 43 Fish Species in Japan Based on IgE-binding Activity

open access: yesAllergology International, 2006
Background: Hypersensitivity reactions to fish are a common food allergy, but IgE-binding activity to fish species have not been fully elucidated. The aim of this study was to identify fish with high binding activity to IgE in sera from Japanese fish ...

ASSOCIATION LACK BETWEEN RADIOALLERGOSORBENT TEST RESULTS AND SKIN TEST REACTIVITY IN VENOM ALLERGIC PATIENTS

open access: yes, 2018
Specifically analyze the relation between skin test reactivity, venom-specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibody levels, and acuteness of scientific reaction in patients with insect venom allergy. According to the study 36 patients (including 15 females)

Glutaraldehyde-Modified Recombinant Fel d 1: A Hypoallergen With Negligible Biological Activity but Retained Immunogenicity

open access: yesWorld Allergy Organization Journal, 2011
Background Recombinant allergens are under investigation for replacing allergen extracts in immunotherapy. Site-directed mutagenesis has been suggested as a strategy to develop hypoallergenic molecules that will reduce the risk of side effects.

Association between bisphenol A diglycidyl ether-specific IgG in serum and food sensitization in young children

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Medical Research, 2018
Background Recent studies have reported that endocrine-disrupting compound (EDC) exposure is related to food sensitization. Bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (BADGE) is one of the most widespread EDCs and its biological effects are considered to be greater on

Microarrayed Allergen Molecules Distinguish IgE Sensitisation to Blomia tropicalis and Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study established a microarray containing a representative panel of purified Blo t and Der p allergens for the identification of patients sensitised to Blo t and/or Der p. Results indicate that the microarray based on Blo t and Der p allergens is a useful tool for the identification of Blo t‐ and/or Der p‐sensitised patients. The microarray may be

Skin testing versus radioallergosorbent testing for indoor allergens

open access: yes, 2005
Background Skin testing (ST) is the most common screening method for allergy evaluation. Measurement of serum specific IgE is also commonly used, but less so by allergists than by other practitioners.

Dendrimeric Antigens for Passive Mast Cell Activation in the Evaluation of Amoxicillin Allergy

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
DeAns with defined nanoscale structure reveal that conjugate size and determinant density govern IgE‐mediated effector‐cell activation in AX allergy. All DeAn generations bind to sIgE in inhibition immunoassay, but only larger DeAns trigger FcεRI‐dependent responses in mouse MC, huRBL‐2H3, and LUVA cells.
