HDAC2 Inhibitor Valproic Acid Increases Radiation Sensitivity of Drug-Resistant Melanoma Cells
Resistance to anticancer drugs limits the effectiveness of chemotherapy in cancers. Melanoma cell lines B16F10C and A375C (parental) and B16F10R and A375R (drug-resistant sublines) were used to test radiation sensitization potential of valproic acid (VPA)

Ultrasmall Platinum Nanoparticles for Radiation‐Enhanced Cancer Therapy
This work proposes a nanomedicine‐based strategy to enhance X‐ray radiotherapy for cancer treatment. Ultrasmall Pt‐NPs exhibit catalase‐like activity that may contribute to modulation of the tumor microenvironment and amplify interactions between radiation and biological matter, leading to increased DNA damage.

Plasmonic Nanomachines: Creating Local Potential Gradients and Motions
Plasmonic nanomachines can generate optical, thermal, and chemical potential gradients to drive directional rectilinear, rotational, and twisting motions at the nanometer scale. The integration of multimodal plasmonic forces with functional materials and programmed structural distortions enables precise spatiotemporal actuation, thereby providing a ...

Radiosensitization in Pediatric High-Grade Glioma: Targets, Resistance and Developments
Pediatric high-grade gliomas (pHGG) are the leading cause of cancer-related death in children. These epigenetically dysregulated tumors often harbor mutations in genes encoding histone 3, which contributes to a stem cell-like, therapy-resistant phenotype.

Antibody drug conjugates deliver their cytotoxic anti‐tubulin or topoisomerase I inhibitor payloads to tumors through cancer cell receptor targeting. The released drug payloads induce cellular changes that interact with radiotherapy resulting in radiosensitization that improves cancer cell kill and stimulates anti‐tumor immune responses.
