On the Radii of Brown Dwarfs Measured with AKARI Near-Infrared Spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We derive the radii of 16 brown dwarfs observed by AKARI using their parallaxes and the ratios of observed to model fluxes. We find that the brown dwarf radius ranges between 0.64-1.13 RJ with an average radius of 0.83 RJ. We find a trend in the relation

MOST 1.6 EARTH-RADIUS PLANETS ARE NOT ROCKY [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The Kepler mission, combined with ground-based radial velocity (RV) follow-up and dynamical analyses of transit timing variations, has revolutionized the observational constraints on sub-Neptune-sized planet compositions.

RESEARCH OF A RESERVOIR BOTTOM ZONE DESTRUCTION BY FILTERING FLOW OF THE FORMATION LIQUID AND PREVENTION OF CALL FORMATION IN THE WELL

open access: yesИзвестия Томского политехнического университета: Инжиниринг георесурсов, 2021
The relevance of the study is caused by the need to prevent the formation destruction near the bottom of the wells and the appearance of a large amount of sand in the formation fluid during its filtration into the bottomhole zone of the well.

Constraining the mass and radius of neutron stars in globular clusters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We analyze observations of eight quiescent low-mass X-ray binaries in globular clusters and combine them to determine the neutron star mass-radius curve and the equation of state of dense matter.

Cluster radius and sampling radius in the determination of cluster membership probabilities [PDF]

open access: yesAstron.Astrophys.510:A78,2010, 2009
We analyze the dependence of the membership probabilities obtained from kinematical variables on the radius of the field of view around open clusters (the sampling radius, Rs). From simulated data, we show that the best discrimination between cluster members and non-members is obtained when the sampling radius is very close to the cluster radius.

Osteoblastoma of radius

open access: yesMedical Journal of Dr. D.Y. Patil University, 2012
An 18-year-old male presented with a huge swelling in his left forearm, which was progressively increasing for four years with episodic pain in the outpatient department of Burdwan Medical College and Hospital, Burdwan. Investigations and clinical examinations were done that revealed the swelling to be a bony tumor.

Radius Properties of Harmonic Mappings with Fixed Analytic Part [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
We investigate harmonic mappings $f=h+\bar{g}$ defined in the unit disk, where $g$ and $h$ satisfy certain prescribed conditions and the analytic part $h$ belongs to the Ma and Minda class of starlike functions. Certain sharp radius results for univalency, close-to-convexity, fully starlikeness, fully convexity, and radius of strongly starlikeness are ...

Connectivity of Random Geometric Hypergraphs

open access: yesEntropy, 2023
We consider a random geometric hypergraph model based on an underlying bipartite graph. Nodes and hyperedges are sampled uniformly in a domain, and a node is assigned to those hyperedges that lie within a certain radius.
