Study on calibration factor of radon measurement in scintillation chamber at different times
In order to calibrate the concentration of radon in scintillation chamber quickly, this paper proposes a method to calibrate the radon concentration by obtaining the calibration factor of measuring radon in scintillation chamber at different times ...

A nanomodulator called L‐Arginine/lificiguat@Copper‐hollow Prussian blue@Calcium phosphate nanoparticles is constructed to launch a self‐amplifying “avalanche effect” in tumor cells. The ensuing cascade, triggered by the acidic tumor microenvironment and near‐infrared light, induces calcium overload, generates a reactive oxygen species and reactive ...

Adaptive mitochondrial mechanisms allow mitochondrial resilience and prevent the worsening of fibrosis, while deregulation of these mechanisms promotes the progression from no/minimal‐mild (F0‐F2) fibrosis to advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis (F3‐F4). Abstract Background and Aims Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection causes oxidative stress (OS) and alters ...

Beyond the Oxo‐Wall: Synthesis and Reactivity of a Six‐Coordinate Formally CoIV‐Oxo Complex
We present the first example of a six‐coordinate formally Co(IV)‐oxo complex, [Co(TQA)(O)(OH)]+ (1), which exists as an admixture of CoIV‐oxo and CoIII‐oxyl resonance structures. Complex 1 is capable of performing oxygen atom transfer reactions and abstracting moderately strong hydrogen atoms at rates faster than other characterized CoIV‐oxo compounds.

A small volume radon progeny aerosol control device and its performance
BackgroundNuclear sites require monitoring of artificial radioactive aerosols, but existing instruments often encounter the problem of "measurement uncertainty (radon progeny interference)" in the measurement of artificial radioactive aerosols, requiring

Metrological realization of the radon activity concentration in air
In the framework of the EMPIR research project Metrology for Radon, a facility was devised that provides stable and traceable atmospheres for the realization of radon activity concentration at a high metrological level. The facility is used to calibrate and test devices for measuring radon in the air. It enables precise long-term exposures in the range

Heavy metal pollution reduces soil health and threatens food safety by entering plants; however, the use of nanoparticles, biofertilizers, and organic fertilizers such as biochar offers a promising strategy for improvement and sustainable agriculture. ABSTRACT Heavy metal (HM) pollution, resulting from human activities such as mining and the excessive ...

A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...
