gm-Extraction for rail-to-rail input stage linearization
International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2005Summary: Transconductance of rail-to-rail input stages in low-voltage operational amplifiers depends on the presence of a large common mode input signal. Corrections must be implemented in order to correct it. Nevertheless, techniques actually used, based on switching or feedforward, still give relevant deviation from the constant transconductance ...

Experimental Results on Low Rail-to-Rail Conductance Values
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2005Measurement results concerning rail-to-rail conductance are presented, based on two measurement campaigns performed in Italy at Rigutino (AR) and Anagni (FR) in spring/summer 2003. Rails in the two sites are isolated from the sleepers and the earth and the weather conditions were hot and dry, so the measured conductance values represent a lower bound ...

Rail to Rail Comparator for SAR ADC in Biomedical Applications
2021 28th International Conference on Mixed Design of Integrated Circuits and System, 2021this paper presents low voltage low power a rail to rail common mode range clocked comparator. The target application of the proposed circuit is analog to digital converter for biomedical applications. The proposed comparator is composed of two stages which are pre-amplifiers and modified strong-Arm latch.

A 1.75 V rail-to-rail CMOS op amp
Proceedings of IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems - ISCAS '94, 2002In this paper, a low voltage CMOS op amp, that can operate from a single 1.75 V supply voltage is presented. The op amp-has the capability of handling input signals exceeding both the positive and the negative supply rails. This is achieved by connecting n- and p-type differential pairs in parallel. The transconductance (g/sub m/) of the op amp is kept

Low‐voltage rail‐to‐rail switched buffer topologies
International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2001AbstractThis paper presents some CMOS rail‐to‐rail low‐voltage (1.2 V) switched buffer topologies, to be used as input stages in switched‐opamp circuits. The main buffer is based on the use of an op‐amp featuring rail‐to‐rail input and output swing with constant transconductance over the input common mode voltage.

Constant transconductance rail to rail amplifier
2004 International Semiconductor Conference. CAS 2004 Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.04TH8748), 2005This work presents an analytical model for a CMOS rail to rail gain stage transconductance dependence on the common mode input voltage. The complete transconductance RR amplifier schematic is composed by three functional blocks: the input stage, the summing stage and the bias circuit. This analysis uses MOS transistor basic model.

A rail-to-rail input/output CMOS power amplifier
IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1989A rail-to-rail input/output CMOS amplifier is presented in which the shortcomings presented in previous designs have been eliminated. The small (0.3-mm2) amplifier has an acceptable common-mode rejection ratio (55 dB), valid for the entire common-mode range.

A High Speed CMOS Transmitter and Rail-to-Rail Receiver
4th IEEE International Symposium on Electronic Design, Test and Applications (delta 2008), 2008This paper presents a high speed low voltage differential signal (LVDS) interface circuit for CPU, LCD, FPGA and other fast links. In the proposed transmitter a stable reference and a common mode feedback circuit are applied into the LVDS drivers, which enable the transmitter to tolerate the variations of process, temperature and supply voltage.

A rail to rail, slew-boosted pre-charge buffer
2006 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2006A pre-charge buffer is designed in a 0.5 /spl mu/m CMOS process. The buffer has rail to rail input capability, and makes use of a slew boosting mechanism, which senses current to enhance slew rate. Sensing current avoids overshoots when the buffer exits the slew-mode.

Rail-to-rail tunable CMOS V-I converter
2006 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2006A novel technique is proposed to achieve highly linear programmable voltage-to-current (V-I) converters over a rail-to-rail input range. It employs two passive resistors with one of their terminals tied to a very low impedance node to achieve an almost distortionless V-I conversion for rail-to-rail input signals.
