Biomimetic Self‐Reconfigurable Soft Gripper for Cross‐Scale, Multi‐Particle, and High‐Load Multifunctional Manipulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fully soft, self‐reconfigurable gripper inspired by rapeseed flowers is monolithically 3D‐printed and electronics‐free, switching between diagonal and parallel finger arrangements. Establishing a self‐reconfigurable grasping paradigm, the gripper enables diverse manipulation tasks, including rotating bulbs, picking fruits, grasping cross‐scale ...

A New Rail-to-Rail Second Generation Voltage Conveyor [PDF]

open access: yesElectronics, 2019
In this paper, a novel low voltage low power CMOS second generation voltage conveyor (VCII) with an improved voltage range at both the X and Z terminals is presented. The proposed VCII is formed by a current buffer based on a class AB regulated common-gate stage and a modified rail-to-rail voltage buffer. Spice simulation results using LFoundry 0.15 μm

Selective Polarity Control of Metal Oxide Semiconductors for Complementary Logic Gates

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A scalable electrochemical doping strategy enables in situ p‐to‐n polarity conversion in tin oxide (SnO) thin films using electrolyte gating. Both the pristine p‐type SnO transistor and the electrochemically converted n‐type SnO2 transistor exhibited noticeable and stable electrical performance.

Nanoparticle‐Mediated Bubble Suppression During Droplet Solidification for Mechanical Reinforcement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanoparticles mediate droplet solidification by raising nucleation temperature, refining dendrites, and slowing freezing‐front advance, thereby suppressing trapped air bubbles in droplet‐based 3D printing. This strategy reduces bubble volume fraction by ∼35% and increases compressive strength by up to 39%, offering a low‐cost route to stronger printed ...

’A Poll Tax on Wheels’: Might the move to Privatise Rail in Britain have Failed? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Rail privatisation was a controversial, widely unpopular policy whose implementation was not inevitable. This article employs counterfactual history methodology to examine whether the move to rail privatisation in Britain might have failed. It places the
