A simulation of rainfall interception in a pine forest
The water budget of forests is an important topic in hydrology today. A major factor in this water budget is interception loss, that is the loss by evaporation of intercepted water. The process of rainfall interception in forests is satisfactorily described by the models of Rutter et al. (1971) and Gash (1979).

Regional analysis of spatiotemporal trends in Colorado potato beetle abundance
Leveraging a large data set on Colorado potato beetles in Wisconsin, we examine spatial and temporal abundance trends. Spatiotemporal statistical models substantially improve fit and show that climate and management factors are positively associated with abundance levels.
