Live-cell bioorthogonal Raman imaging

Current Opinion in Chemical Biology, 2015
Live-cell microscopy demands high specificity, sensitivity, and minimal perturbation to the biomolecules of interest. Meeting all these criteria has been challenging in cellular imaging. Toward this goal, a bioorthogonal Raman imaging method has recently emerged by exploiting small Raman reporters that possess Raman signals that do not overlap with the

Coherent Raman Tissue Imaging in the Brain

Cold Spring Harbor Protocols, 2014
Imaging in neuroscience has been dramatically impacted by the advent of multiphoton microscopy. Multiphoton-excited fluorescence (MPF) in combination with endogenous fluorophores or labeling by fluorescent molecules has proven to be particularly powerful.

Raman-Nath Imaging

1975
Analysis and experiments reported here show that Bragg imaging systems continue to operate at frequencies too low to support Bragg diffraction. At sound frequencies of a few megahertz and lower, Raman-Nath theory determines light diffraction by sound if the interaction length is no longer than about 35 cm.

Chemical Imaging of Xylem by Raman Microspectroscopy

2017
Raman microspectroscopic techniques provide highly detailed chemical information about xylem tissue at submicron spatial resolution. The techniques are generally sensitive and they provide a powerful, yet inexpensive way to probe the chemical composition of individual cells or cell wall layers in situ, non-destructively, in a confocal manner ...
