Ramification Groups of Nonabelian Kummer Extensions
The reciprocity law of Coleman for the Hilbert norm residue symbol has allowed the computation of the conductors of the abelian Kummer extensionsQp(a,ζpn)/Qp(ζpn)witha∈Qpandζpna primitive (pn)th root of unity for a fixed primepand all positive integersn.

Enzymes of the 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase group catalyze the condensation of formyl‐CoA with aldehydes or ketones. Thus, by structural adaptation of active sites, practically any pharmaceutically and industrially important 2‐hydroxyacid could be biotechnologically synthesized. Combining crystal structure analysis, active site mutations and kinetic assays,

Crossed Products and Ramification [PDF]
Introduction. Let S be the integral closure of a complete discrete rank one valuation ring R in a finite Galois extension of the quotient field of R, and let G denote the Galois group of the quotient field extension. Auslander and Rim have shown in [3] that the trivial crossed product Δ (1, S, G) is an hereditary order if and only if 5 is a tamely ...

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Ramification sequences and Bezoutian forms
: We continue our study from [1] on the problem to bound the number of symbols needed to obtain an element of the second K-group of a rational function field with given ramification.

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.
