Objective. An angiogenesis inhibitor can cause medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ). To our knowledge, there has been no report that an angiogenesis inhibitor causes delayed healing of tooth extraction socket.

Ramucirumab: Boon or bane

Ramucirumab is the recent addition to the list of monoclonal antibodies being tried in various malignancies. It has been approved in non-small cell lung cancer, gastric cancer and colorectal cancer after progression of one or more lines of therapies in the advanced setting. Though randomized trials have shown benefit, cost effectiveness is questionable.

Phase II Study of Cisplatin/Gemcitabine Plus Necitumumab for Squamous NSCLC After ICI-Platinum Therapy (WJOG14120L). [PDF]

WJOG14120L NESSIE evaluated cisplatin, gemcitabine, and necitumumab (CGN) as second‐line therapy after ICI‐based treatment in 46 patients with advanced squamous NSCLC. ORR was 26.1%, DCR 87.0%, and median PFS 4.4 months. Although the predefined ORR threshold was not met, CGN showed modest antitumor activity with manageable toxicity.
