A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Genetic polymorphism of gliadin-coding loci spelt (Triticum spelta L.) [PDF]

open access: yesSelekcija i Semenarstvo, 2009
The polymorphism of 80 accessions Asian and European spelt gliadin-coding loci by one-dimensional PAAG-electrophoresis was studied. The important distinction to the alleles of gliadin loci of the European spelt (T. spelta L. ssp.

Enhancing Open RAN Digital Twin Through Power Consumption Measurement [PDF]

open access: yes
The increasing demand for high-speed, ultra-reliable and low-latency communications in 5G and beyond networks has led to a significant increase in power consumption, particularly within the Radio Access Network (RAN).

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Energy-efficient RRH-association and resource allocation in D2D enabled multi-tier 5G C-RAN

open access: yes, 2022
The device-to-device (D2D) enabled cloud radio access network (C-RAN) is considered as a promising network model which provides high data rate and energy efficiency.

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.
