Optimization of random amplified polymorphic DNA techniques for use in genetic studies of Cuban triatominae [PDF]

open access: diamondRevista do Instituto de Medicina Tropical de São Paulo, 2005
Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique is a simple and reliable method to detect DNA polymorphism. Several factors can affect the amplification profiles, thereby causing false bands and non-reproducibility of assay. In this study, we analyzed the effect of changing the concentration of primer, magnesium chloride, template DNA and Taq DNA ...

Evaluation in Genetic Variation of Krachai by Sequence Related Amplified Polymorphism (SRAP) and Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) Techniques

open access: diamondInternational Journal of Membrane Science and Technology, 2023
Krachais are local name of Thai herb which are identified within 2 genera, namely Bosenbergia (white or red krachai) and Kaempferia (black krachai). The rhizome of Bosenbergia rotunda (L.) Mansf. contains major aromatic compounds against COVID19 but its many morphological characteristics such as leaves, stems and rhizome are like other species in same ...

Amplification of bacterial DNA bound on clay minerals by the random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique [PDF]

open access: bronzeFEMS Microbiology Ecology, 1996
Abstract Chromosomal DNA from Bacillus subtilis, bound on the clay minerals, montmorillonite (Wyoming (W) and Apache County (Ap)) and kaolinite (K), was subjected to the random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) technique. DNA bound on the clays was not amplified with 0.625, 1.875, 6.25, and 12.5 U of Taq DNA polymerase, but amplification occurred when

Identification of poultry meat using random amplified polymorphic dna (rapd) technique [PDF]

open access: yesEurasian Journal of Veterinary Sciences
In this study, meats of 8 poultry species (chicken, turkey, gull, ostrich, duck, goose, quail, partridge) ware identified by random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) method using two different primers of 10 nucleotides each (primer 1- CAA TCG CCG T ...

Survey the Genetic Diversity of Eight Opuntia Species from Egypt using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) Technique [PDF]

open access: diamondJournal of advanced Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2019
Opuntia is a large genus of succulent shrubs characterized by unique attractive flowers known as prickly pears by virtue of their characteristic edible fruits. They are used as laxative, diuretic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory. This study aims to authenticate eight different Opuntia species, Opuntia brasilliensis (Willd.) Haw (O1), Opuntia ...

Genetic Diversity of Pathogenic Fungi Aspergillus flavus Isolates Using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA-Polymerase Chain Reaction Technique

open access: bronzeINTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF DRUG DELIVERY TECHNOLOGY, 2022
Aspergillus flavus is the second most public fungi that causing disease in human and causes diseases in several important agricultural crops. The aim of this study was to investigate the genetic variety among diverse isolates of Aspergillus flavus by the technique of polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD).

IDENTIFICATION OF GYMNEMA SPECIES BY RANDOM AMPLIFIED POLYMORPHIC DNA TECHNIQUE AND CHLOROPLAST trnK GENE [PDF]

open access: diamondJournal of microbiology, biotechnology and food sciences, 2014
Gymnema is one of the important anti-diabetic medicinal plants used from ancient times and is commonly known as ‘sugar killer’. Most of its species have been used in many applications in Indian traditional medicine. Nevertheless, their efficiency is critically dependent on the use of the correct material.

Neural Network to Distinguish Species of Bacteria Using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) Technique.

open access: bronzeKAGAKU KOGAKU RONBUNSHU, 1999
