Invariance principle for diffusions in random environment

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2008
We will show an invariance principle for the diffusive motion of a particle interacting with a random frozen configuration of infinitely many other particles in Rd.

On subcritical multi-type branching process in random environment [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics & Theoretical Computer Science, 2008
We investigate a multi-type Galton-Watson process in a random environment generated by a sequence of independent identically distributed random variables.

Scaling limit of critical random trees in random environment

open access: yes, 2023
We consider Bienaym\'e-Galton-Watson trees in random environment, where each generation $k$ is attributed a random offspring distribution $\mu_k$, and $(\mu_k)_{k\geq 0}$ is a sequence of independent and identically distributed random probability ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Random Environment INAR Models of Higher Order

open access: yesRevstat Statistical Journal, 2019
Two different random environment INAR models of higher order, RrNGINARmax(p) and RrNGINAR1(p), are introduced. Both of them are of variable order, which is not a random variable.

Random walk on the range of random walk [PDF]

open access: yes
We study the random walk X on the range of a simple random walk on ℤ d in dimensions d≥4. When d≥5 we establish quenched and annealed scaling limits for the process X, which show that the intersections of the original simple random walk path are ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Limiting behaviour of random spatial graphs and asymptotically homogeneous RWRE [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We consider several random spatial graphs of the nearest-neighbour type, including the k- nearest neighbours graph, the on-line nearest-neighbour graph, and the minimal directed spanning tree.

Deterministic walks in random environment

open access: yes, 2020
Motivated by the random Lorentz gas, we study deterministic walks in random environment and show that (in simple, yet relevant cases) they can be reduced to a class of random walks in random environment where the jump probability depends (weakly) on the ...
