Temporally Stable Random Fiber Laser Operates at 1070 nm
We experimentally demonstrate a temporally stable random fiber laser (RFL) operating at 1070-nm wavelength. A piece of 25-km passive fiber pumped by a 1018-nm ytterbium-doped fiber laser provides both Raman amplification from stimulated Raman scattering ...

Narrow-band generation in random distributed feedback fiber laser [PDF]
Narrow-band emission of spectral width down to ∼0.05 nm linewidth is achieved in the random distributed feedback fiber laser employing narrow-band fiber Bragg grating or fiber Fabry-Perot interferometer filters.

We demonstrate a wide-tunable random fiber laser (RFL) with narrow linewidth and low noise. The tunable RFL is achieved by combining random feedback from a disordered fiber Bragg grating array (FBGA) with a broad scattering wavelength range and the gain ...

Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

NLSE-based model of a random distributed feedback fiber laser [PDF]
In this work we propose a NLSE-based model of power and spectral properties of the random distributed feedback (DFB) fiber laser. The model is based on coupled set of non-linear Schrödinger equations for pump and Stokes waves with the distributed ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Hybrid raman-erbium random fiber laser with symmetrical combined pumping of 1455 nm and 1497 nm wavelengths [PDF]
This paper demonstrates an 80 km random fiber laser with and without the integration erbium-doped fiber (EDF). The scheme employs combined pumping wavelength scheme of 1455 nm and 1497 nm where variation in power of both pumps are performed and its ...
