Tunable Random Fiber Laser Based on Dual-Grating Structure

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
In order to reduce the pumping threshold and achieve a short-cavity single-mode transmission with a narrow-linewidth random fiber laser, we propose a tunable random fiber laser based on the combination of random grating and highly reflective fiber Bragg ...

Random Fiber Laser

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2007
We investigate the effects of two dimensional confinement on the lasing properties of a classical random laser system operating in the incoherent feedback (diffusive) regime. A suspension of 250nm rutile (TiO2) particles in a Rhodamine 6G solution was inserted into the hollow core of a photonic crystal fiber (PCF) generating the first random fiber ...

Dynamic detection of acoustic wave generated by polarization maintaining Brillouin random fiber laser

open access: yesAPL Photonics, 2020
The intrinsic spectral width and intensity dynamics of the acoustic wave generated by the Brillouin random fiber laser were characterized experimentally for the first time.

Comparative Study of Ultra-Narrow-Mode Generation in Random Fiber Lasers Based on Different Fiber Types

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
We studied the properties of ultra-narrow spectral modes, appearing in random distributed feedback Raman fiber lasers, for different fibers building up a laser cavity.

Genetic algorithm optimization of broadband operation in a noise-like pulse fiber laser

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
The noise-like pulse regime of optical fiber lasers is highly complex, and associated with multiscale emission of random sub-picosecond pulses underneath a much longer envelope.

Tunable random polymer fiber laser

open access: yesOptics Express, 2017
We have demonstrated the realization of on-line temperature-controlled random lasers (RLs) in the polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) nanoparticles (NPs) as well as Pyrromethene 597 (PM597) laser dye, Fe3O4/SiO2 NPs as well as PM597, and only PM597 doped polymer optical fibers (POFs), respectively.

Plasmonic random laser on the fiber facet

open access: yesOptics Express, 2015
A random laser on the optical fiber facet is constructed by dipping an optical fiber end face into the solution of polydimethylsiloxane doped with rhodamine 6G organic dye and silver nanowires. The PDMS film doped with rhodamine 6G acts as the active waveguide layer, and the silver nanowires provide a three-dimensional plasmonic feedback.

Random fiber lasers: Application to fiber optic sensors networks [PDF]

open access: yes2017 19th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks (ICTON), 2017
Recently, random mirrors have been proposed as a method to create fiber laser cavities. This kind of cavity is based on cooperative Rayleigh scattering, which is generated along a fiber due to the material inhomogeneities presented in that fiber.

Multi-parameter sensor based on random fiber lasers

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2016
We demonstrate a concept of utilizing random fiber lasers to achieve multi-parameter sensing. The proposed random fiber ring laser consists of an erbium-doped fiber as the gain medium and a random fiber grating as the feedback.
