Characteristic polynomials of complex random matrix models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We calculate the expectation value of an arbitrary product of characteristic polynomials of complex random matrices and their hermitian conjugates. Using the technique of orthogonal polynomials in the complex plane our result can be written in terms of

Simulation method of stratigraphic uncertainty using a boundary model and generalized coupled Markov chain model

open access: yes地质科技通报, 2022
Stratigraphic uncertainty has a significant impact on the performance evaluation of geotechnical structures, and it is important for engineering practice to accurately characterize the uncertainty.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Numerical studies of field theories on random lattices [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
In this thesis we shall be concerned with the study of models which arise as a consequence of adopting discrete regularisations for various Euclidean space quantum field theories. Specifically, we employ a random triangulation of the continuum space, and

Influences of spatial variability of material properties on stability of embankment filled with cement-stabilized mud

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2018
The application of cement-stabilized mud (CSM) as the filling materials of embankments mitigates the issue of local scarcity of ideal filling materials (e.g., sand and gravel) and allows significant volumes of unwanted mud arising from dredging to be ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Comparative analysis of multiscale Gaussian random field simulation algorithms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We analyze and compare the efficiency and accuracy of two simulation methods for homogeneous random fields with multiscale resolution. We consider in particular the Fourier-wavelet method and three variants of the Randomization method: (A) without any ...

Probabilistic slope stability analysis on marine clay seabed considering spatial variability of soil parameters

open access: yesFrontiers in Built Environment
Determining the failure probabilities of submarine slopes over long distances is crucial for assessing slope stability, given the randomness of soil parameters.

Associative Hierarchical Random Fields

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 2014
This paper makes two contributions: the first is the proposal of a new model-The associative hierarchical random field (AHRF), and a novel algorithm for its optimization; the second is the application of this model to the problem of semantic segmentation.

Cosmological fluctuations of a random field and radiation fluid [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A generalization of the random fluid hydrodynamic fluctuation theory due to Landau and Lifshitz is applied to describe cosmological fluctuations in systems with radiation and scalar fields.
