Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Numerical Simulations of the Random Phase Sine Gordon Model. [PDF]
We have performed comprehensive numerical simulations of the Random Phase Sine Gordon Model, studying both statics and dynamics for various values of the coupling.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

A Conditional Random Field for Multiple-Instance Learning [PDF]
We present MI-CRF, a conditional random field (CRF) model for multiple instance learning (MIL). MI-CRF models bags as nodes in a CRF with instances as their states. It combines discriminative unary instance classifiers and pairwise dissimilarity measures.

Spin-Flip Dynamics of the Curie-Weiss Model: Loss of Gibbsianness with Possibly Broken Symmetry [PDF]
We study the conditional probabilities of the Curie-Weiss Ising model in vanishing external field under a symmetric independent stochastic spin-flip dynamics and discuss their set of points of discontinuity (bad points). We exhibit a complete analysis of

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

A principled deep random field model for image segmentation [PDF]
We discuss a model for image segmentation that is able to overcome the short-boundary bias observed in standard pairwise random field based approaches.

On adaptive refinements in discrete probabilistic fracture models
The possibility to adaptively change discretization density is a well acknowledged and used feature of many continuum models. It is employed to save computational time and increase solution accuracy.

Random Field Ising Model Criticality in a Complex Binary Liquid System
While Ising criticality in classical liquids has been firmly established both theoretically and experimentally, much less is known about criticality in liquids in which the growth of the correlation length is frustrated by finite-size effects.

The Ising model in a random boundary field
Random magnetic fields acting on the boundary of a system are relevant if eta /sub ///(1. For the case of the two-dimensional Ising model they are marginal, giving rise to calculable logarithmic corrections to boundary quantities near the bulk critical point.
