Spatial spectrum and energy efficiency of random cellular networks [PDF]
It is a great challenge to evaluate the network performance of cellular mobile communication systems. In this paper, we propose new spatial spectrum and energy efficiency models for Poisson-Voronoi tessellation (PVT) random cellular networks. To evaluate

Soil moisture inversion of oasis saline soil based on early-time signals of multi-frequency GPR
Oasis agriculture in arid regions persistently faces dual challenges of water scarcity and secondary soil salinization, making accurate acquisition of spatiotemporal soil moisture distribution characteristics critical for sustaining agricultural ...

Imaging in Random Media with Convex Optimization [PDF]
We study an inverse problem for the wave equation where localized wave sources in random scattering media are to be determined from time resolved measurements of the waves at an array of receivers. The sources are far from the array, so the measurements are affected by cumulative scattering in the medium, but they are not further than a transport mean ...

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Random fractional Fourier transform : stochastic perturbations along the axis of propagation
The fractional Fourier transform (FRT) is known to be optically implementable with use of a medium with a perfect radial quadratic-index profile. Using the quantum-mechanical operator formalism, we examine the effects on the FRT action of such a medium

Current Relaxation in Nonlinear Random Media [PDF]
We study the current relaxation of a wave packet in a nonlinear random sample coupled to the continuum and show that the survival probability decays as $P(t) \sim 1/t^α$. For intermediate times $tχ_{\rm cr}$ we find a universal decay with $α=2/3$ which is a signature of the {\it nonlinearity-induced delocalization}.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Stochastic Modelling of Coherent Phenomena in Strongly Inhomogeneous Media.
A procedure of numerical simulation for coherent phenomena in multiply scattering media is developed on the basis of the juxtaposition of a Monte Carlo stochastic method with an iterative approach to the solution of the Bethe- Salpeter equation.
