Objective We developed a novel electronic health record sidecar application to visualize key rheumatoid arthritis (RA) outcomes, including disease activity, physical function, and pain, via a patient‐facing graphical interface designed for use during outpatient visits (“RA PRO dashboard”).

Objective Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon because of the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

Objective We assessed the effectiveness of PrismRA to improve clinical outcomes among patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) initiating treatment with a biologic or targeted synthetic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drug (b/tsDMARD). Methods PrismRA incorporated 19 gene expression features and four clinical features to assess a patient's likelihood of

Objective This study aimed to investigate potential moderators influencing the effects of manual therapy and exercise therapy on pain and functional outcomes in individuals with knee and/or hip osteoarthritis, using data from the MOA trial. This is a secondary analysis of data from the MOA trial that compares the clinical effectiveness of manual ...

[Intel random number generator-based true random number generator].
Di 1 jun yi da xue xue bao = Academic journal of the first medical college of PLA, 2007To establish a true random number generator on the basis of certain Intel chips. The random numbers were acquired by programming using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 via register reading from the random number generator (RNG) unit of an Intel 815 chipset-based computer with Intel Security Driver (ISD).We tested the generator with 500 random numbers in NIST ...

Random Number Generation [PDF]
The fields of probability and statistics are built over the abstract concepts of probability space and random variable. This has given rise to elegant and powerful mathematical theory, but exact implementation of these concepts on conventional computers seems impossible.

Uniform Random Number Generators
Journal of the ACM, 1965Abstract : This paper discusses the testing of methods for generating uniform numbers in a computer--the commonly used multiplicative and mixed congruential generators as well as two methods. Tests proposed here are more stringent than those usually applied, because the usual tests for randomness have passed several of the commonly used pprocedures ...

Pseudo Random Number Generators
2013In a first step the definition of randomness and the mathematical definition of random numbers and sequences are addressed. We move on to describe the properties of an ideal random number generator and concentrate then on pseudo random number generators which are the basic tool in the application of stochastic methods in Computational Physics ...

Abstract A commonly used uniform random-number generator is examined in light of a genetic-simulation problem. Although this generator is often useful, it proves defective in this case. The author suggests that any proposed generator be checked for the properties needed by the simulation problem at hand.

Quantum random number generator vs. random number generator
2016 International Conference on Communications (COMM), 2016A random number generator produces a periodic sequence of numbers on a computer. The starting point can be random, but after it is chosen, everything else is deterministic. A random number generator produces a periodic sequence of numbers on a computer.
