Generating Random Samples Using Response Surface Methodology without need to Distribution of Parameters [PDF]
Many of engineering problems have nonlinear or highly nonlinear limit state functions. Different approaches have been developed in calculating of failure probability in these problems.

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

Effect on oxides on surface topography and thermal contact resistance [PDF]
The effect of oxides on the topographies of various random engineering surfaces and steady-state thermal contact resistances between oxidefree and oxidized metallic surfaces in contact in high vacua have been investigated. The results of many previous

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Simulating multi-fractal sea clutter and surface based on the random multiplicative model
It has been proved that the multi-fractal sea clutter can be simulated by the three-partitioned random multiplicative model. This study constructs multi-fractal sequences with similar multiplicative factors of the sea clutter of the IPIX radar and ...

Coupled nonlinear surface reactions in random walk particle tracking
Random walk particle tracking (RWPT) methods employ a Lagrangian discretization of transported scalars into point particles to numerically solve the advection–dispersion equation.

Homogenization of Lateral Diffusion on a Random Surface [PDF]
We study the problem of lateral diffusion on a static, quasi-planar surface generated by a stationary, ergodic random field possessing rapid small-scale spatial fluctuations. The aim is to study the effective behaviour of a particle undergoing Brownian motion on the surface viewed as a projection on the underlying plane. By formulating the problem as a

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Polycrystalline surface properties from spherical crystallites: Ag, Au, Cu and Pt [PDF]
We have performed a series of atomistic simulations of nearly spherical, crystalline (fcc) clusters of Ag, Au, Cu and Pt as a function of temperature and cluster size.
