On bucket increasing trees, clustered increasing trees and increasing diamonds [PDF]
In this work we analyze bucket increasing tree families. We introduce two simple stochastic growth processes, generating random bucket increasing trees of size $n$, complementing the earlier result of Mahmoud and Smythe for bucket recursive trees. On the combinatorial side, we define multilabelled generalizations of the tree families $d$-ary increasing

Multicritical continuous random trees
We introduce generalizations of Aldous' Brownian Continuous Random Tree as scaling limits for multicritical models of discrete trees. These discrete models involve trees with fine-tuned vertex-dependent weights ensuring a k-th root singularity in their generating function. The scaling limit involves continuous trees with branching points of order up to

Unsupervised Extremely Randomized Trees [PDF]
In this paper we present a method to compute dissimilarities on unlabeled data, based on extremely randomized trees. This method, Unsupervised Extremely Randomized Trees, is used jointly with a novel randomized labeling scheme we describe here, and that we call AddCl3.

Progress in Surface Plasmon and Other Resonance Biosensors for Biomedical Applications
This is the shortened version: Recent advancements in surface plasmon resonance and other optical resonance biosensors for biomedical applications are presented. Advanced sensing strategies are examined for the detection of diverse analytes, integration of nanomaterials and machine learning, and emerging nonplasmonic modes like guided mode resonance ...

A note on the independence number, domination number and related parameters of random binary search trees and random recursive trees [PDF]
We identify the mean growth of the independence number of random binary search trees and random recursive trees and show normal fluctuations around their means. Similarly we also show normal limit laws for the domination number and variations of it for these two cases of random tree models.

Large Bidirectional Refractive Index Change in Silicon‐rich Nitride via Visible Light Trimming
Continuous‐wave visible light trimming of PECVD silicon‐rich nitride micro‐ring resonators enables precise, large bidirectional refractive index tuning. Resonance shifts as fine as 10 pm are achieved with a cost‐effective setup, demonstrating large red shifts of 49.1 nm and blue shifts of 10.6 nm.

We survey recent developments about random real trees, whose prototype is the Continuum Random Tree (CRT) introduced by Aldous in 1991. We briefly explain the formalism of real trees, which yields a neat presentation of the theory and in particular of the relations between discrete Galton-Watson trees and continuous random trees.
