Selection of Cotton Fabrics Using EDAS Method
In this paper, a relatively new and mathematically potent tool of MCDM (Multi-Criteria Decision Making) in the form of EDAS (Evaluation based on Distance from Average Solution) approach has been proposed for ranking of thirteen candidate cotton fabrics ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Generalization of Stable Preference Ordering Towards Ideal Solution Approach for Working with Imprecise Data [PDF]
When solving real-world decision-making problems, it is important to deal with imprecise quantitative values modeled by numerical intervals. Although a different extension of the multi-criteria decision-making methods could deal with intervals, many of ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Conversion between dipoles with different spatial parities by circularly polarized light
We investigate the effect of a circularly polarized light on multipoles based on the Floquet formalism. We show that the irradiation of the circularly polarized light converts the spatial parity of dipoles at the microscopic level; the electric (magnetic

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

ON RANK REVERSAL OF ALTERNATIVE PROBLEM WHILE MULTICRITERIA ESTIMATING
The phenomenon of alternatives rank reversal is studied, appearing in rating calculation using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The sufficient condition is found for the rank reversal absence.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
