Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Rank Test Based On Matrix Perturbation Theory [PDF]
In this paper, we propose methods of the determination of the rank of matrix. We consider a rank test for an unobserved matrix for which an estimate exists having normal asymptotic distribution of order N1/2 where N is the sample size. The test statistic

The Rasch-Model From an Individual’s Perspective: The Item Rank Plot and the Compensation Test
The present study takes a closer look at the principles of estimating person parameters in the Rasch-Model and how they can be utilized for assessing model fit.

This paper suggests several `goodness of fit' test criteria, all having a linear form. The moment generating function and the limiting distribution of this linear form are obtained in Section 2. The best test criterion of this form for testing a simple hypothesis $H_0$ against a simple alternative hypothesis $H_1$ is shown, in Section 3, to be in ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
