Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Spline Model Estimation Using Double Ranked Set Sampling
This paper introduces and investigates the Double Ranked Set Sampling (DRSS) to estimate spline models. Properties of the new estimated parameters are examined and compared to both Simple Random Sampling (SRS) and regular Ranked Set Sampling (RSS ...

Hypothesis tests on the scale parameter using median ranked set sampling
In this paper, some test procedures for scale parameters of exponential and rectangular distributions involving the median ranked set sampling (MRSS) method are discussed. The necessary tables for the critical regions for the suggested tests are supplied.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

The Efficiency of Stratified Quartile Ranked Set Sampling in Estimating the Population Mean
[[abstract]]In this paper, new modified ranked set sampling method is suggested for estimating the population mean, namely, stratified quartile ranked set sampling (SQRSS). The SQRSS is compared with simple random sampling (SRS), stratified simple random

On Regression Estimators Using Extreme Ranked Set Samples
Regression is used to estimate the population mean of the response variable, , in the two cases where the population mean of the concomitant (auxiliary) variable, , is known and where it is unknown. In the latter case, a double sampling method is used to

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Estimators for a Poisson parameter using ranked set sampling
Using ranked set sampling, a viable BLUE estimator is obtained for estimating the mean of a Poisson distribution. Its properties, such as efficiency relative to the ranked set sample mean and to the maximum likelihood estimator, have been calculated for ...

Composite Estimators for the Population Mean Under Ranked Set Sampling
Ranked Set Sampling (RSS) is an effective sampling technique, particularly when precise measurement of the study variable is costly or time-consuming, but ranking the units is relatively easy.
