Wrapper for Ranking Feature Selection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We propose a new feature selection criterion not based on calculated measures between attributes, or complex and costly distance calculations. Applying a wrapper to the output of a new attribute ranking method, we obtain a minimum subset with the same

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Feature Selection and Ranking

open access: yes
This chapter describes a method of feature selection and ranking based on human expert knowledge and training and testing of a neural network. Being computationally efficient, the method is less sensitive to round-off errors and noise in the data than ...

Supplier selection and evaluation decision considering environmental aspects ----- Beszállító értékelési és kiválasztási döntések környezetvédelem figyelembevételével [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
: Supplier assessment is widely studied in the literature as it is an important means of managing supplier relationships. Based on literature results our paper examines the extension of the vendor evaluation methods with environmental, green issues ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Ranking, Unemployment Duration, and Wages [PDF]

open access: yes
Firms often receive multiple acceptable applications for vacancies, requiring a choice among candidates. This paper contrasts equilibria when firms select workers at random and when firms select the worker with the shortest spell of unemployment, called ...

A unified framework for finding differentially expressed genes from microarray experiments

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2007
Background This paper presents a unified framework for finding differentially expressed genes (DEGs) from the microarray data. The proposed framework has three interrelated modules: (i) gene ranking, ii) significance analysis of genes and (iii ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.
