Estimating Genetic Conformism of Korean Mulberry Cultivars Using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA and Inter-Simple Sequence Repeat Profiling

open access: yesPlants, 2018
Apart from being fed to silkworms in sericulture, the ecologically important Mulberry plant has been used for traditional medicine in Asian countries as well as in manufacturing wine, food, and beverages.

Identification of Citrus Chimeras by RAPD Markers [PDF]

open access: yesHortScience, 1995
Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers were used to detect chimerism of citrus cultivars. Polymerase chain reaction conditions suitable for discriminating citrus chimeras were determined. Primers that produced consistent and repeatable bands that differed between the parental cultivars were chosen to create discriminating band patterns.

Fine Characterization of the Contact Zones of Mazzaella laminarioides in the Southeastern Pacific Using Mitochondrial and Nuclear Markers

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study investigates the genetic structure of Mazzaella laminarioides, an ecologically and economically important species from the rocky coast of Chile. Using more accurate sampling and a set of microsatellite, nuclear, and mitochondrial markers, we were able to identify with high resolution the contact zones between the previously described ...

Genetic Diversity Evaluation of Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) Ecotypes Using Morphological Traits and Molecular Markers [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Medicinal Plants and By-products, 2017
Genetic diversity of 12 lemon balm ecotypes was evaluated using agronomic traits as well as ISSR and RAPD markers. Results of analysis of variance showed high diversity among the studied ecotypes.

Genetic divergence of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) populations in Serbia revealed by RAPD [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Biological Sciences, 2011
The ability of random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) to distinguish among Scots pine populations from Serbia was evaluated. Sixteen arbitrary 10-mer primers employed in the analysis produced 54 fragments of which 21 were polymorphic (38.89 ...

Phylogenetic relationships of the Oxytropis campestris and Oxytropis arctica complexes in Alaska inferred from non-coding nuclear DNA and RAPD data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Thesis (M.S.) University of Alaska Fairbanks, 2001The taxonomy and evolutionary relationships of the Oxytropis arctica and Oxytropis campestris complexes in Alaska are poorly understood.

Integrating Plant Tissue Culture and DNA Barcoding: Cutting‐Edge Technologies for Plant Conservation in Sri Lanka 整合植物组织培养与dna条形码技术:斯里兰卡植物保护的前沿技术

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 4, Issue 4, Page 555-568, December 2025.
Brief summary: Sri Lanka's biodiversity is threatened by habitat loss, climate change, and ineffective traditional conservation methods. Integrating plant tissue culture and DNA barcoding offers scalable, precise tools for conserving rare and endemic species.

Evaluation of genetic diversity among Iranian pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) cultivars, using ISSR and RAPD markers

open access: yesتاکسونومی و بیوسیستماتیک, 2011
Considering the high level of morphological diversity in Iranian pomegranate cultivars, comparison of genetic variation among 24 pomegranate cultivars was evaluated using random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) and inter simple sequence repeat (ISSR ...

Life history of Monocystis parasites and genetic diversity of their hosts, the invasive Amynthas earthworms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Monocystis is a parasites in the phylum Apicomplexa that infects nearly 100% of earthworms; however, the parasites have low survivorship, low production of transmissible gametocysts, and seemingly lack schizogony.
