The mTORC1/S6K/PDCD4/eIF4A Axis Determines Outcome of Mitotic Arrest
Summary: mTOR is a serine/threonine kinase and a master regulator of cell growth and proliferation. Raptor, a scaffolding protein that recruits substrates to mTOR complex 1 (mTORC1), is known to be phosphorylated during mitosis, but the significance of ...

Only 1541 (34.2%) of 4503 recognized non‐passerine bird species are held in ZIMS institutions worldwide. Approximately ~83% of the species kept globally are classified as non‐threatened and ~16% as threatened. To improve the conservation of threatened birds, a shift toward keeping threatened species should be considered within ex situ management ...

Scavenger dynamics at cervid carcasses in a chronic wasting disease endemic zone
This study quantifies scavenger species use of 20 deer carcasses in a chronic wasting disease endemic zone, including species‐specific time spent on carcasses and carcass materials consumed. We discuss the implications of our results for scavengers' roles in potential disease transmission dynamics.
