First Report of Raspberry leaf blotch virus in Raspberries in Finland
Raspberry (Rubus idaeus L.) is a valuable and widely grown softfruit that is a host for 40 viruses and virus-like agents, of which many are not characterized at the molecular level. Recently, Raspberry leaf blotch virus (RLBV, putative emaravirus species) was described from raspberries (cv. Glen Ample) in the United Kingdom and Serbia.

Inertial‐Based LQG Control: A New Look at Inverted‐Pendulum Stabilization
ABSTRACT Linear‐quadratic Gaussian (LQG) control is a well‐established method for optimal control through state estimation, particularly in stabilizing an inverted pendulum on a cart. In standard laboratory setups, sensor redundancy enables direct measurement of configuration variables using displacement sensors and rotary encoders. However, in outdoor

Engineering compact Physalis peruviana (goldenberry) to promote its potential as a global crop
Goldenberry (Physalis peruviana) produces sweet, nutritionally rich berries, yet like many minor crops, is cultivated in limited geographical regions and has not been a focus of breeding programs for trait enhancement. Leveraging knowledge of plant architecture‐related traits from related species, we used CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated gene editing to generate a

Animating blossom: Time‐lapse to encourage plant awareness in the YouTube era
Time‐lapse videos can effectively capture key traits of flower blossoms, such as color, 3D structure, and temporal changes, making them valuable complements to herbarium specimens and other botanical collections. Despite the abundance of such videos on YouTube, most provide no ecological and botanical insights.

Enabling Under Ice Glider Operations: A Backseat Driver Approach
ABSTRACT Polar Oceans are key locations for forcing global ocean circulation, influencing both global climate and biogeochemical cycles. Due to restricted access to these seasonally and perennially ice‐covered regions, these areas are severely undersampled.
