The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Impact of controlling the sum of error probability in the sequential probability ratio test

open access: yesStatistica, 2013
A generalized modified method is proposed to control the sum of error probabilities in sequential probability ratio test to minimize the weighted average of the two average sample numbers under a simple null hypothesis and a simple alternative hypothesis

GENDER PERSPECTIVE AND NEWMAN'S THEORY IN ERROR ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS' ANSWERS IN RATIO AND PROPORTION

open access: yesKalamatika, 2020
This research was conducted to find out how the gender perspective affects the mistakes made by students in the ratio and proportion questions. Mindset’s differences between male and female will affect how they solve problems and it will also affect ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Error Correction of Vapour/Liquid Ratio of Hydrocarbon Inclusions Measured by Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2015
PVT simulation of hydrocarbon inclusions can be used to reconstruct trapping temperature and pressure. Vapour/liquid ratio is an important parameter affecting PVT simulation.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

Minimize the Prediction Error in External Consensus Problem using Gain Error Ratio Formula

open access: yesApplications of Modelling and Simulation, 2017
This paper discusses the external consensus problem for non-identical networked multi-agent systems (NMAS) with network data loss, considering uniform consecutive data losses (CDL) induced by long periods of transmission failure. A gain error ratio (GER)

Lookup Table Algorithm for Error Correction in Color Images

open access: yesJOIV: International Journal on Informatics Visualization, 2018
Error correction and error detection techniques are often used in wireless transmission systems. A color image of type BMP is considered as an application of developed lookup table algorithms to detect and correct errors in these images.
