Lebesgue Ergodic Rational Maps in Parameter Space

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2003
We study a family of quadratic rational maps and discuss dynamical and ergodic theoretic properties associated to various parameters. We prove results about the location of ergodic parameters in parameter space and show computer output illustrating the results. We show that the computer algorithm used to produce Julia sets in this setting is valid for

Microkinetic Modeling: A Tool for Rational Catalyst Design.

Chemical Reviews, 2020
The design of heterogeneous catalysts relies on understanding the fundamental surface kinetics that controls catalyst performance, and microkinetic modeling is a tool that can help the researcher in streamlining the process of catalyst design ...

Parameters of Rational Airfield Pavement Design System

Transportation Engineering Journal of ASCE, 1973
IN RECENT YEARS THE COMPLEXITY OF THE AIRFIELD PAVEMENT SYSTEM AND ITS ENVIRONMENT HAS RESULTED IN CONTINUED EFFORTS TO UPGRADE DESIGN AND EVALUATION METHODS. TO HELP MEET THE RECOGNIZED NEED FOR MORE EFFICIENT AND COMPREHENSIVE MANAGEMENT OF AIRFIELD PAVEMENT DESIGN, AN AIRFIELD PAVEMENT SYSTEM MODEL, WHICH IS PRESENTED HEREIN, HAS BEEN DEVELOPED. THE

Rationalized Energy‐Loss Parameters for Channels

Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, 1988
All hydraulic computations involving flow in open channels require an evaluation of energy‐loss parameters. A fundamental approach is to assess the different types of energy loss separately. Methods of doing this are described, including a new method using the concept of friction distance and dummy boundaries for computing flow through vegetation ...

A parameter estimation method for rational functions

Computers & Chemical Engineering, 1991
Abstract A parameter estimation method for rational functions models is developed. It can also be applied to any model where numerator and denominator are both linear functions of the unknown parameters. The procedure is verified for several examples proceeding from both simulated and experimental data.

Nine-parameter electrovac metric involving rational functions

Physical Review D, 2000
An analytically extended nine-parameter family of the electrovac rational function solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations generalizing the Chen-Guo-Ernst class of hyperextreme spacetimes is presented. The general four-soliton asymptotically flat solution possessing the equatorial symmetry and involving five independent real parameters is derived ...

Rational Design of Carbon Nanomaterials for Electrochemical Sodium Storage and Capture

Advances in Materials, 2019
Electrochemical sodium storage and capture are considered an attractive technology owing to the natural abundance, low cost, safety, and cleanness of sodium, and the higher efficiency of the electrochemical system compared to fossil‐fuel‐based ...

A rational performance criterion for hydrological model

, 2020
Performance criteria are essential for hydrological model identification or its parameters estimation. The Kling-Gupta efficiency (KGE), which combines the three components of Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE) of model errors (i.e. correlation, bias, ratio
