ON THE RATIONAL POINTS ON CUBIC SURFACES [PDF]

open access: yesGlasgow Mathematical Journal, 2000
Let \(N(P)\) denote the number of solutions in integers \(x_i\) with \(|x_i|\leq P\) of \(\sum_{1 \leq i \leq 4}a_ix_i^3 = 0\), in which \(a_i \neq 0\), and let \(N_1(P)\) denote the number of these solutions that do not lie on rational lines in the projective surface \(\mathcal S\) defined by this equation. \textit{D. Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. An arbitrary mesh network scheme using rational splines

open access: yes, 1991
A C1 surface scheme is described which interpolates points defined on an arbitrary mesh network. The scheme involves the blending of strip ‘functions’ developed from a rational spline method.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Families of Smooth Rational Curves of Small Degree on the Fano Variety of Degree 5 of Main Series

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2013
In this paper we consider some families of smooth rational curves of degree 2, 3 and 4 on a smooth Fano threefold X which is a linear section of the Grassmanian G(1, 4) under the Pl¨ucker embedding. We prove that these families are irreducible. The proof

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Solving Linear Rational Expectations Models with Predictable Structural Changes [PDF]

open access: yes
Standard solution methods for linear stochastic models with rational expectations presuppose a time-invariant structure as well as an environment in which shocks are unanticipated.

Rational potassium manuring for arable cropping systems.

open access: yes, 1988
Interest in potassium (K) manuring has decreased in recent years because applying K leads to no environmental problems, few soils are K deficient and K is cheaper than N.

Schwinger-Dyson approximants

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We revisit the solution to the Schwinger-Dyson equations in the simple case of the 0-dimensional 1 2 m 2 ϕ 2 + λ 4 ϕ 4 $$ \frac{1}{2}{m}^2{\phi}^2+\frac{\lambda }{4}{\phi}^4 $$ theory with m 2 > 0 and λ ≥ 0.

Common best proximity point theorems for certain types of mappings [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Bohemica
Let $S$ and $T$ be two single-valued non-self-mappings from a nonempty set $\mathcal{P}$ to another nonempty set $\mathcal{Q}$. As they are non-self-mappings, the equations $Sx=x$ and $Tx=x$ do not have a common solution. In other words, they do not have
