Facet‐Specific PbS Quantum Dot Passivation Using Halide Perovskites for SWIR Photodetectors
PbS quantum dots (QDs) are emerging as powerful short‐wave infrared photodetectors, yet the passivation mechanism of large QDs by perovskites ‐ critical for their stability ‐ remains unexplained. Here, we unveil the ligand structure of CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPI)‐passivated 4‐nm PbS QDs using FTIR, XPS, SEM, NMR, and DFT.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Extension Odd Generalized Rayleigh Inverse Rayleigh Distribution: Structure and Properties
The Extension Odd Generalized Rayleigh Inverse Rayleigh (EOGRIR) distribution is a novel statistical model that leverages existing distribution families in a flexible manner. This model enhances the ability of standard distributions to analyze data.

Truncated Rayleigh Lomax Distribution
The Truncated Rayleigh - Lomax distribution is introduced in this research. To do this, we interrupt the period of Rayleigh-Lomax to create a distribution with more flexibility and efficiency. Then we extracted the statistical and mathematical characters of the distribution, like, cumulative distribution, survival, density, Hazard, and cumulative ...

The anelastic structure and deep geology of the Derbyshire Dome from high frequency Rayleigh waves. [PDF]
This work is an investigation of the anelastic structure of the Derbyshire Dome and adjacent areas from the analysis of high frequency, 0.6 - 4.2 Hz, fundamental mode Rayleigh waves observed from quarry blasts within the study area.

Perspective: Hollow Core Optical Fibres for Ultraviolet and Visible Wavelengths
Hollow core optical fibres bypass material constraints that limit optical fibres at ultraviolet and visible wavelengths. However, their challenging fabrication has limited their development, and significant gains in performance remain possible. In this perspective we outline approaches to enable the next generation of fibres for shorter wavelengths ...

On Determination Method for Resolution of Secondary Electron Images in Scanning Electron Microscopy
An idealized SEM, termed Rayleigh's microscope, is constructed by Monte Carlo simulation to represent imaging conditions that just satisfy the Rayleigh criterion. Based on this physically defined model, sharpness–resolution conversion curves are established and combined with the Rose criterion, enabling automated resolution evaluation from practical ...
