Magnetic characteristics of K-, Na- and Rb-doped YBCO ceramics

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1995
Abstract The magnetic behavior of Na-, K-, Rb-doped YBCO ceramic samples is investigated at ac magnetic field at 77 K. For small Rb and Na concentrations, an increase of the field-dependent component of the critical current is observed. High dopant concentrations lead to deterioration of the critical parameters of the YBCO material.

Magnetic properties and surface resistance of Rb-doped YBaCuO ceramic

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1994
The influence of Rb/sub 2/CO/sub 3/ additive on the properties of YBCO was investigated. The impurity was added to the usual stoichiometry of Y/sub 1/Ba/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/O/sub y/ to produce an initial batch with general formula Y/sub 1/Ba/sub 2/Cu/sub 3/(Rb)/sub x/O/sub y/ where x=0 to 0.60.

Electrical properties of A′Ca2Nb3O10 (A′=K, Rb, Cs) layered perovskite ceramics

Ionics, 2001
The electrical conductivity properties of Dion-Jacobson type layered perovskites A′Ca2Nb3O10 (A′=K, Rb, Cs) was investigated under different gas atmospheres. An increase in the electrical conductivity by about 2–5 orders in magnitude in both ammonia and hydrogen atmospheres is observed compared to air. Among the members of the series, the compound with

Experimental investigation on electrical discharge diamond grinding of RB-SiC ceramics

The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, 2017
The reaction-bonded silicon carbide (RB-SiC) ceramics are very difficult to be machined by conventional techniques. In this work, a hybrid process termed electrical discharge diamond grinding (EDDG) was applied to the precision grinding of RB-SiC ceramics considering its weak electrical conductivity.

RB-SiC Ceramics Derived from the Phenol Resin Added with Starch

Key Engineering Materials, 2007
Reaction bonded silicon carbide (RB-SiC) was fabricated by phenol resin, starch, solidified agent and silicon powder through the following steps: first, carbonizing at high temperature for 7-9h, infiltrating silicon at 1450-1600oC for 0.5-2h, and then removing excessive silicon at 1700oC for 0.5h. Scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction were

Enhanced electrical properties in Rb-substituted sodium bismuth titanate ceramics

Applied Physics A, 2016
Influence of large ionic radius cation rubidium (Rb) substitution in the A-site of sodium bismuth titanate (NBT) on remnant polarization and dielectric constant is investigated. Substitution of 0.01 mole fraction of Rb in NBT ceramics escalates remnant polarization and dielectric constant coupled with reduction in coercive field and enhanced ...

Determination of photoelectron attenuation lengths in calcium phosphate ceramic films using XPS and RBS

Surface and Interface Analysis, 2003
Abstract Calcium phosphate (CaP) coatings are used to improve the biological performance of an implant. A technique that is often used to measure the composition of this material is XPS. When extremely thin coatings are measured, for example to study the interface between CaP and a substrate, the quantification of
