Efficient turbo product code decoder with Build‐In SRAM‐based transpose memory
This letter introduces an efficient hard‐input hard‐output iterating turbo product code decoder module. A transpose memory utilizing static random access memory (SRAM) is integrated into the decoder, which supports both horizontal (row‐wise) and vertical (column‐wise) read/write operations.

Decoherence-protected memory for a single-photon qubit
The long-lived, efficient storage and retrieval of a qubit encoded on a photon is an important ingredient for future quantum networks. Although systems with intrinsically long coherence times have been demonstrated, the combination with an efficient ...

Precision spectroscopy with two correlated atoms
We discuss techniques that allow for long coherence times in laser spectroscopy experiments with two trapped ions. We show that for this purpose not only entangled ions prepared in decoherence-free subspaces can be used but also a pair of ions that are ...

Implications of non-volatile memory as primary storage for database management systems [PDF]
Traditional Database Management System (DBMS) software relies on hard disks for storing relational data. Hard disks are cheap, persistent, and offer huge storage capacities. However, data retrieval latency for hard disks is extremely high.

A two-dimensional soliton system of vortex and Q-ball
The (2 + 1)-dimensional gauge model describing two complex scalar fields that interact through a common Abelian gauge field is considered. It is shown that the model has a soliton solution that describes a system consisting of a vortex and a Q-ball. This

Knock-Out of the Genes Coding for the Rieske Protein and the ATP-Synthase δ-Subunit of Arabidopsis [PDF]
In Arabidopsis, the nuclear genes PetC and AtpD code for the Rieske protein of the cytochrome b6/f (cyt b6/f) complex and the δ-subunit of the chloroplast ATP synthase (cpATPase), respectively.

Analyzing breast cancer comorbidities: a network approach using community detection algorithms
Breast cancer is a prominent global health concern, as the data from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) shows that breast cancer is the leading cancer type with new cases in 2020 and among the Top 5 cancer types with the most deaths ...

Feedback-Optimized Operations with Linear Ion Crystals
We report on transport operations with linear crystals of 40Ca+ ions by applying complex electric time-dependent potentials. For their control we use the information obtained from the ions' fluorescence.

Localization of Chaotic Resonance States due to a Partial Transport Barrier
Chaotic eigenstates of quantum systems are known to localize on either side of a classical partial transport barrier if the flux connecting the two sides is quantum mechanically not resolved due to Heisenberg's uncertainty.
