Experimental Study of Seismic Performances of RC Bridge Columns with CFST Column Embedded Inside
To improve the seismic performances of reinforced concrete (RC) bridge columns and to prevent columns from shear failure and core concrete crushing, high strength concrete filled steel tube (CFST) is put into RC columns to form a new kind of composite ...

Since late 2021, serious allegations have been made against physicist Erwin Schrödinger, ranging from pedophilia to serial sexual abuse. These accusations have significantly tarnished the Nobel Prize winner's public reputation. The ongoing debate has repeatedly raised the question of whether, and to what extent, these grave allegations are justified ...

A Modular Nucleoside Kinase Cascade for the Synthesis of Ribonucleoside Triphosphates
Damm et al. report standardized enzymatic cascades for production of all canonical nucleoside triphosphates from the corresponding nucleosides, using kinase‐catalyzed phosphorylation from acetyl phosphate. Reactions afforded ∼ 100 mM product in near‐quantitative conversion.

Seismic performance of RC building columns confined with CFRP
It is a usual practice that traditional methods with traditional materials (most frequently jacketing of elements) are used for repair and strengthening of structures. However, lately, particularly in the last two decades, there have occurred new construction materials intended for strengthening and design referred to as composites strengthened by ...
