Biological Safety and Functional Properties of Açaí Seed Extract: Antioxidant Capacity and Prebiotic Potential

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Açaí (Euterpe oleracea) is widely recognized as a functional food due to its nutritional value and abundance of bioactive compounds. Its seeds, representing approximately 80%–95% of the fruit mass, constitute an abundant agro‐industrial byproduct with promising biotechnological potential.

Effect of the stage of lactation on milk composition, its properties and the quality of rennet curdling in East Friesian ewes

open access: yesCzech Journal of Animal Science, 2008
The evaluation of the effect of the stage of lactation on milk composition, its properties and the quality of rennet curdling was carried out over the period of three successive years using milk samples (n = 162) obtained from a total of 27 ewes of the ...

Geomorphic Effectiveness of an Extreme Flood in a Mountain River: Evidence From Pre‐ and Post‐Event Surveys in a Subtropical Region of Southern Brazil

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 5, May 2026.
The extreme flooding of April 2024 caused a complete “geomorphic reset”, resulting in a 24% widening of the channel and a transition to critical or supercritical flow regimes. The energy of the event broke through the stable armouring layer, reducing the armouring ratio from 7.9 to 4.9 and intensely removing fine sediments from the subsurface.

Clinical Care Interaction and Patient Sleep in the Intensive Care Unit: A Secondary Data Analysis

open access: yesNursing in Critical Care, Volume 31, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Sleep is a fundamental biophysiological requirement, essential for both physiological and psychological health. Patients admitted to intensive care are vulnerable to sleep disturbances due to continuous monitoring and the intensity of care provided.

Evaluation of extrapolation chamber response for surface and buildup dose assessment in radiotherapy photon beams using Monte Carlo simulations

open access: yesMedical Physics, Volume 53, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract Background Surface dose assessment is essential in radiotherapy, but accurately measuring doses in the buildup region of megavoltage beams presents significant challenges. Extrapolation chambers are frequently regarded as the most suitable detectors for this purpose. Purpose To establish under what conditions extrapolation chambers can be used

Modulatory Effects of Cirsimarin on Lung Cancer A549 Cells Migration in 2D and 3D Cultures Involves Transcriptional Regulation of Metalloproteinases

open access: yesJournal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Volume 40, Issue 3, March 2026.
In 2D culture, the cirsimarin (i) decreased cell viability in both assays, (ii) induced apoptosis, (iii) reduced clonogenicity, (iv) prevented cell migration, (v) induced DNA damage, and (vi) negatively modulated gene expression. In the 3D model, reductions in spheroid viability, area, and cell migration were also observed.

CORRELAÇÃO ENTRE OS INDICADORES DO IMC, RCQ E NÍVEL DE ATIVIDADE FÍSICA COM RISCO CORONÁRIO EM MOTORISTAS INTERESTADUAL DE ÔNIBUS DE UMA EMPRESA DE TRANSPORTE RODOVIÁRIO DE RONDÔNIA

open access: yesFIEP Bulletin - online, 2015

A new taxon of saurischian dinosaur from the Coelophysis Quarry of New Mexico, USA (Triassic: latest Norian or Rhaetian) highlights herrerasaurian diversity in the latest Triassic

open access: yesPapers in Palaeontology, Volume 12, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract The most complete record of the earliest dinosaur lineages is from the Carnian from the higher latitudes of Pangea (e.g. present‐day Brazil, Argentina), but dinosaurian assemblages from the upper stages of the Upper Triassic are better known from the low latitudes of Pangea (present day southwestern USA).

FOXP3 Polymorphism and Upregulation of the CXCL12‐CXCR4‐SNAIL Axis with High Infiltration of M2TAM by STAT3/NFKB Pathways Influence the Survival of Cervical Cancer Patients

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, Volume 9, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study highlights how cervical carcinoma progression is shaped by immune–tumor interactions within the TME. M2‐TAM infiltration, regulated through STAT3/NF‐κB and linked to CXCL12–CXCR4, promotes immune suppression, angiogenesis, and poor survival.
