A Highly Stable Zinc‐Mimosinate Metal–Organic Framework for Controlled Agrochemical Delivery

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract illustrates the design of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) as agrochemicals constructed from active building blocks. The highly robust GR‐MOF‐25 is assembled from the natural herbicide L‐mimosine and Zn2+ ions, combining herbicidal, micronutrient, and antibacterial properties.

Cause of the Scion Death in Green Pepper Grafting System by a Tobamovirus

open access: yesResearch in Plant Disease, 2011
This experiment was attempted to investigate a cause of the scion death in green pepper grafting system. A tobamovirus particle examined in the rootstock of the sample but not in the scion showing necrosis.

Nutritional Potential, Phytochemical Content, In Vivo Antioxidant, and Antanemic Potential of Musa paradisiaca Flower

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
After collecting Musa paradisiaca leaves, some were dried and others were used to produce aqueous extracts. The extracts and powders were characterized and then administered to rats made anaemic by PHZ. After 14 days of administration of the two samples, the rats were euthanized and it was observed that after 9 days of treatment, the aqueous extract ...

Functional characterization and reconstitution of ABA signaling components using transient gene expression in rice protoplasts

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2015
The core component of ABA-dependent gene expression signaling have been identified in Arabidopsis and rice. This signaling pathway consists of four major components; group A OsbZIPs, SAPKs, subclass A OsPP2Cs and OsPYL/RCARs in rice.

Chemical Composition, Amino Acids, Phenolic Profiles and Bioavailability of Minerals in Livingstone Potato (Plectranthus esculentus) as Affected by Different Processing Techniques

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
Boiling retained the nutrients and polyphenol compounds in Plectranthus esculentus tubers better than frying or roasting. A bioavailability study showed that the phytates and oxalates in the tuber may not affect the bioavailabilities of calcium, zinc, or iron in Plectranthus esculentus tubers when eaten.

The Human Skin Microbiome Is a Reflective Mirror of Alcohol Intake

open access: yesiMetaMed, EarlyView.
Comprehensive analyses of 3306 human skin microbiome samples from publicly available datasets revealed that lifestyle factors, particularly alcohol intake, influence skin microbiome composition. An independent validation cohort study was conducted, confirming high consistency with the meta‐analysis and highlighting the robustness of the findings.

Domain engineered gallium oxide phototransistors enabling intelligent ultraviolet vision with dynamic gating

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
Single‐domain Si‐doped β‐Ga2O3 thin films grown on off‐axis sapphire eliminate domain boundaries, improving transport and photogating. Gate‐pulse modulation suppresses persistent photoconductivity, yielding ultrafast response and high detectivity. Integrated into a 24 × 24 array, the devices enable high frame rate DUV imaging and energy‐efficient ...

Changes of Bacterial Diversity Depend on the Spoilage of Fresh Vegetables

open access: yesResearch in Plant Disease, 2011
Almost 10~30% of vegetables were discarded by the spoilage from farms to tables. After harvest, vegetables are often spoiled by a wide variety of microorganisms including many bacterial and fungal species.
