DEPOSITION OF THE STOICHIOMETRIC COATINGS BY REACTIVE MAGNETRON SPUTTERING

open access: yes, 2021
The investigations of the reactive magnetron depositing of the stoichiometric coatings “metal-metalloid”were done. The dependences between sputtering parameters of a target and processes of plasmo-chemical formation on the surface of sample “metal-metalloid” and formations of coatings of the ap-propriate structure were investigated.Experimental data on

Self‐Powered Visible‐Blind Graphene/NiO/ZnO UV‐C Photodiodes

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
“A scalable architecture for self‐powered UV‐C photodiodes integrates defect‐engineered p‐NiO/n‐ZnO heterojunctions with highly UV‐C transparent graphene anodes. The type‐II band alignment combined with the built‐in electrical field enables robust zero‐bias charge separation.

On–Off Switchable Micromotors for Use in Steerable Microvehicles

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Electrically controllable micromotors and microvehicles are developed by tuning the diffusion of the fuel. Self‐propelled micromotors using bubble propulsion show great promise for miniaturized devices with multiuse purposes such as cargo delivery and sensing. However, there is currently no method to electrically switch the micromotors on or off. Here,

Reactive Magnetron-Sputtered Tantalum–Copper Nitride Coatings: Structure, Electrical Anisotropy, and Antibacterial Behavior

open access: yesNanomaterials
Tantalum nitride (TaN) coatings are valued for their hardness, chemical inertness, and biocompatibility; however, they lack intrinsic antibacterial properties, which limits their application in biomedical environments.

Phase Diagrams and Piezoelectric Properties of Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN Heterostructural Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates ferroelectricity and piezoelectric properties improvement of quaternary wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films, guided by density functional theory calculations. Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films have a high optical bandgap, enhanced piezoelectric ...

Controlled formation of anatase and rutile TiO2 thin films by reactive magnetron sputtering

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2015
We discuss the formation of TiO2 thin films via DC reactive magnetron sputtering. The oxygen concentration during sputtering proved to be a crucial parameter with respect to the final film structure and properties.

A Dual‐Channel Synergistic Ultrasensitive Biosensor for Tumor Liquid Biopsy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Liquid biopsy technology, which detects circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in cerebrospinal fluid, plays a crucial role in the early diagnosis and precision treatment of gliomas. However, the intrinsically low abundance and rapid clearance of ctDNA pose substantial challenges for conventional analytical techniques, such as droplet digital PCR and ...

Field‐Free Spin‐Splitting‐Torque Driven Stochastic Neuron Mimicking the Neuromorphic Imagination for High‐Performance Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The human brain's imagination, which enables autonomous driving hazard avoidance by completing missing visual information, relies on Gaussian‐stochastic neuron. We report the altermagnetic RuO2 spintronic neurons integrating field‐free switching and intrinsic Gaussian stochasticity, building an all‐spin ANN for high‐quality image repairing and high ...

Thermal Spin Coated PbS QD SWIR Imager for Non‐Invasive Glucose Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Thermal spin‐coating enables controlled film formation of PbS quantum dots, leading to denser packing, reduced defect‐assisted transport, and improved carrier extraction. The resulting photodetectors exhibit suppressed dark current, enhanced responsivity, and faster response.

Controllability Analysis of Reactive Magnetron Sputtering Process

open access: yesActa Physica Polonica A, 2013
Reactive magnetron sputtering deposition is one of the major established techniques for deposition of both metallic and nonmetallic thin lms on various substrates; it is a very nonlinear process, and exhibits hysteresis behavior with respect to the reactive gas ow. This nonlinearity is characterized by a sudden change in sputtering rate and fraction of
