A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Refinement of amino‐acid conformation vs. difference density maps in time‐resolved serial femtosecond crystallography data analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Fast Transient Hybrid Neuro Fuzzy Controller for STATCOM During Unbalanced Voltage Sags [PDF]

open access: yesAUT Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2018
A static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) is generally used to regulate voltage and improve transient stability in transmission and distribution networks. This is achieved by controlling reactive power exchange between STATCOM and the grid.

DOWNHOLE REACTIVE POWER COMPENSATION

open access: yesOil and Gas Studies, 2015
The authors provide a method for compensation of the reactive power inside a well. In the environment Matlab/ Simylink a model was developed of the site of the electrical centrifugal pump unit power supply from the transformer substation. A comparison is made of the proposed method of downhole reactive power compensation with the existing method.

Dose‐dependent hepatotoxicity of hydrogen peroxide in HepG2 cells and its modulation by CYP450 induction

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
NMR metabolomics revealed concentration‐dependent metabolic perturbations in HepG2 cells exposed to H2O2. Rifampicin pretreatment enhanced metabolic competence, attenuated toxin‐induced alterations and produced metabolite profiles more consistent with human liver physiology, supporting the use of CYP450‐induced HepG2 models for improved in vitro ...

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Design of fractional evolutionary processing for reactive power planning with FACTS devices

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Reactive power dispatch is a vital problem in the operation, planning and control of power system for obtaining a fixed economic load expedition. An optimal dispatch reduces the grid congestion through the minimization of the active power loss.

Study on resonance characteristic of continuous co‐phase traction power supply system

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2023
In order to solve the power quality problems and eliminate the neutral sections in the railway, the implementation of the continuous co‐phase traction power supply system (CCTPSS) is the development trend of the future. However, various parameters of the

THE ROLE OF STATIC VAR COMPENSATOR AT REACTIVE POWER COMPENSATION

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Technic, 2020
The need for electricity is increasing and the cost of energy generation is arising. For this reason, it is important to use the generated energy in good quality, safely and efficiently. Reactive power compensation is one of the most effective application to reduce transmission losses, prevent voltage drops, prevent consumers from paying for reactive ...
