Reactivity and stability of C.I. Reactive Red 120 at high temperature
Fibers and Polymers, 2014Reactivity and stability of a bis(monochloro-s-triazine) reactive dye (C.I. Reactive Red 120) between 90 and 130 °C at various pH values were studied using HPLC. The obtained rate constants for the hydrolysis of the dye show that the reactivity in the range of 100 °C to 130 °C and at pH values lower than 10.0 is close to the reactivity at 90 °C and pH ...

Decolorisation of Reactive Red 120 by hydrodynamic cavitation
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2018Abstract Decolorisation of reactive red 120 (RR120), was investigated using hydrodynamic cavitation (HC). Present works mainly study effect of various geometrical parameters of orifice plates on decolorisation of RR120 in aqueous solution. For this purpose seven orifice plates having different diameter and number of holes were used in present study ...

Inhibition of the sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+-ATPase by Reactive Red 120
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Biomembranes, 1987The triazine dye, Reactive Red 120, was found to bind tightly (Kd = 30) nM) and with low stoichiometry to sarcoplasmic reticulum membranes. Our finding that this high-affinity binding caused noncompetitive inhibition of the Ca2+-ATPase indicates that the dye-binding site is distinct from both the active site and putative regulatory site.

Acute Toxicity Assessment of Reactive Red 120 to Certain Aquatic Organisms
Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 2015Laboratory experiments were conducted to evaluate the acute toxicity of a widely used textile dye namely Reactive Red 120 (RR 120) on certain aquatic species such as Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (green alga), Lemna gibba (duck weed), Daphnia magna (water flea) and Oncorhynchus mykiss (Rainbow trout).

Chitosan/modified montmorillonite beads and adsorption Reactive Red 120
Applied Clay Science, 2010Abstract Different molar mass ( M w ― ) chitosans were prepared by the hydrolysis of commercial M w ― 480,000 chitosan (CTS 480 ) with hydrogen peroxide at 4% (v/v) for 6 and 24 h and at 15% (v/v) for 24 h, yielding new smaller polymers of M w ― 130,000 (CTS 130 ), 69,000 (CTS 69 ) and 14,000 (CTS 14 ), respectively.

Comparative study of ozone-based AOPs for degradation of Reactive Red 120
Research Journal of Chemistry and Environment, 2022The present work focuses on the comparative study of ozone-based advanced oxidation processes (AOPs): O3, O3/UV and O3/UV/PS to degrade synthetic wastewater containing Reactive Red 120 (RR120) dye. The effect of various parameters: pH, ozone flow rate, initial concentration of dye, persulfate dosage and UV light intensity was analyzed to assess the ...
