An S‐scheme red phosphorus/BiVO4 heterojunction is presented, where red phosphorus served as the water reduction site, and BiVO4 functioned as the water oxidation site. Because it has a built‐in electric field that helps charge transfer and separation, red phosphorus/BiVO4 works very well in the photocatalytic overall water splitting process.

Atomically thin Bi5O7Br nanotubes embedded with abundant Bi nanodots were constructed as an efficient photothermal catalyst for CO2 conversion. The localized surface plasmon resonance and photothermal effect of Bi nanodots synergistically enhance light harvesting, charge utilization, and reaction kinetics, resulting in significantly improved CO2 to CO ...

This work developed a low‐temperature sludge hydrothermal coupled with gel crosslinking strategy which could upgrade the waste liquid generated from sewage sludge hydrothermal treatment into the hydrothermal‐liquid‐gel. The inventive hydrothermal‐liquid‐gel exhibited the enhanced pollutant removal capability, high synthetic stability, and superior ...

Hydrothermal and microwave‐assisted syntheses enable systematic tuning of ceria nanostructure morphology. Chloride counter‐ions direct nanorod growth, while an acetate buffer yields uniform nanocubes whose size (14–26 nm) is tuned via the reactor filling ratio, with microwave heating significantly cutting reaction times to minutes while preserving high

β‐Ketosulfides can be generated in a single step through direct coupling of epoxides and thiols, catalyzed by a Ru(II)–pincer complex. This process requires no substrate preactivation with leaving groups or the use of additives, and liberates H2 gas as a byproduct.
