A New Formula for Vietnamese Text Readability Assessment
2018 10th International Conference on Knowledge and Systems Engineering (KSE), 2018Text readability has an important role in text drafting and document selecting. Most studies on the readability of the text have been made long ago for English and some common languages. There are few researches about Vietnamese text readability and most of them are performed more than three decades ago on very small corpora.

Readability formulas: Useful or useless?

Peter Kincaid, the value of readability formulas and computer editing systems to the engineer who writes on the job is explored. Dr. Kincaid developed the Kincaid Readability Formula, the standard used in judging the reading levels of Department of Defense manuals. The presentation is in a question and answer format.
